Most of our fabrics are "dry clean only," by default. We carry many luxury fabrics in natural fibers, as well as imported European specialty fabrics and some with special finishes. Polyesters are the exception. Polyesters can be laundered on a gentle cycle, tepid, unless otherwise indicated. Our customers have various methods of cleaning and sometimes experiment with washing by hand or gentle machine cycle. It's important to do a test first, in order to assure that the color fastness, shrinkage, and finish remain satisfactory for your purposes. Water quality can be a factor in how this turns out, as well as the selection of detergent. Please test on a swatch if in doubt, and if you like the result, pre-treat your yardage in the same way before cutting out your project.
