Threads magazine sent this to our inbox this morning and it's the perfect way to use one of our cotton laces! They call it "Lady Lace." We can see why! You don't need a paper pattern for this. Threads gives you a diagram to follow. All you need: something to measure with, a rounded edge like a French curve or even a coffee can, about a yard and a half of lace, and your normal sewing notions. One word of advice: Don't be confused that there is no seam to sew at the shoulders--you just cut front and back as one continuous piece. Edited to add: There's a video explaining the process, but as of 10/2023, the pattern directions don't seem to be available on the Threads site anymore. Butterick pattern 6875 would be a good pattern to adapt if you feel uncomfortable without a pattern. www.threadsmagazine.com/project-guides/fit-and-sew-tops/video-how-to-create-a-beautiful-lace-top Order your lace here:
